THE STORY BEHIND
ALLY LOVES PAJAMAS

ALL GOOD IDEAS START SOMEWHERE

When our daughter, Alyssa was 3 she was obsessed with pajamas. It was a challenge some days to get her to change into other clothes. One night during our routine bedtime story I decided to share with her a tale of my own; about a girl and her funny fascination with pajamas.

​

As I laid in bed my thoughts kept wandering back to her giggles and I felt the urge to write it down. I decided to share it with my husband, Paul and asked if he could illustrate it for me - the thought was to create a book as a keepsake for Alyssa.

​

We sat down and I brainstormed all my ideas for the illustrations as he jotted down notes. Days later he showed me a few of his preliminary drawings. His images captured all the scenes from the story so perfectly that I knew it was definitely something other kids would enjoy reading.

​

This was the start of our book journey, and for myself, finally fulfilling a dream of becoming an author.

Our Favorite Things

DIFFERENT THINGS MAKE CHILDREN THINK AND FEEL DIFFERENT THINGS

 

Children grow attached to various toys, food, colors, and so many other aspects in their lives. Every age, seems to spark new likes and dislikes. It may be a mystery to adults, but ask a child why they love something and they will be able to share so many reasons why.

This series is a celebration of all those things. Seen through the glorious eyes of a child.
